Our IT expert Fabian Pfannes has started to work on graphical user interfaces and databases of our online portal. The picture shows the initial team in front of our office.
First simulation
An internal version of the simulation kernel was achieved including models and procedures for markets (spot, reserve, import, export), demand (price related, price unrelated) and power plants (hydro, thermal, renewables). Based on this, we successfully simulated a simplified scenario with 8760 hours, 58 bidding zones and 1146 components. From now on, the software development and the generation of a Europe-wide data set (backtesting) will run in parallel.
Scholarship feedback
We expect a first indication of our EXIST application at the end of June 2019.
